My Independence (from made in China)

4th of July – the day of independence!

This is also the day that marks 6 months of my “not made in China challenge”. So far, I can’t imagine going back to my previous life of checking labels only when I remembered. This feels too good. Good for our beautiful planet and good for American jobs and good for my wallet (shop much? Me? You’ve got to be kidding)

This 4th of July I’m declaring my independence from goods manufactured in China. You should too! At least, stay away from those napkins, flags and balloons in red, white and blue that actually weren’t made here… that’s not how this day should be celebrated.

Happy celebrating!
