I feel like I’m on to something good (a.k.a life without moisturizer)

It’s been six months since I changed up my routine by adding a yummy step did and wrote my initial Simple Sugar Scrubs review on the blog. I’ve used this all natural, facial scrub every night since then, and watched my skin get more and more hydrated from within. I am proud to say I am 100% moisturizer free, or I should say I’ve gone “NO-LO”.

Here’s what my routine consists of:

Step 1. Ole Henriksen on the go cleanser* (vitamin c works for everything). Step 2. Simple Sugars strawberry facial scrub* (since I sometimes break out, I want that salicylic acid!). Step 3. A few drops of SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF (high dollar miracle anti-aging serum).

Done! No toxic moisturizer on my face, evaporating during the night and clogging up pores.

facialI’m not 19 anymore and I do worry about fine lines; I don’t want them. EVER.  I am sure these products (and eating well) are helping me keep them away!!

Did I ever taste the scrub? Yes. Yes, I did. In my defense I had a little at the corner of my mouth, and it happened. And I can confirm – it’s sugar!! Natural and simple; that’s the beauty of it.

* Contains no parabens, sulfates, phthalates and other harsh chemicals

Hey sugar, what’s smoother than smooth? (I am)

Am I obsessed with the scrubs from Simple Sugars? Yes. (Here’s proof that watching Shark Tank is never a waste of time).

Not only is the strawberry facial scrub clearing my skin, with natural salicylic acid and vitamin C, but it smells like I could eat it (and I probably could). And that almond body scrub…. Do I mind that our shower now smells like a marzipan factory? Not at all.

Pittsburgh, PA, where Simple Sugars is based, has (unfortunately) been on the list of Americas most polluted cities a few times. So how wonderful it is that this young entrepreneur is bringing a product to market, exactly there, which is super safe for us and super safe for the environment as it slides, I imagine, very smoothly down the drain.

Gooey goodness and eco friendly – for that reason I am in.

Bonus: the jars are sturdy enough to be washed and reused for storage.
